Bethesda has confirmed that Starfield will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 7, 2026.

The announcement came during a video focused on the game’s next free major update and its next paid story expansion. According to the report, the PS5 version arrives nearly three years after the game’s original launch.

Starfield is already listed for pre-order on the PlayStation Store at $50. The store page also confirms that the game will support PS5 Pro Enhanced features.

The PS5 release will launch on the same day as Bethesda’s next major update for the game, called Free Lanes. The update changes space travel and adds quality-of-life improvements for players.

Bethesda is also releasing Terran Armada on April 7. This is the next paid story expansion for Starfield. The expansion adds a new army faction using robot soldiers and centers on a conflict involving control of the galaxy.

The confirmation follows earlier reports and rumors that Starfield would come to PS5 in April.
